GenTrak, additionally, keeps track of the unit’s location. In the event that the generator is moved without permission, the system raises an alarm.
“The ability to send and receive information is becoming more and more important to all business areas. With the DEIF and Tactus Telemetry solution this has many more added benefits such as remote control and monitoring coupled with the ability to pinpoint the actual position of the equipment. This offers the advantage of security when tracking the movement of equipment so, should the generator move outside its set area of operation, an alarm will be sent to notify personnel of the security alert”, says Roger Watterson from DEIF UK.
“Generators are there as a form of insurance against power failure. It therefore makes good sense to make sure that they are always ready. GenTrak does just that. Our co-operation with DEIF means that we can offer these benefits for almost any generator”, says Malek Ladki, Chief Technical Officer of Tactus Telematics and of the AlanDick Group.
