The Tactus GenTrak™ system uses a compact and rugged terminal device that is easily attached inside each generator and connected to the generator’s control panel. Once the unit is switched on, it is automatically recognised by the system server and added to the database.
The terminal includes a GPS system to record position and a GPRS modem for “always on” communication with the GenTrak server. The GSM SMS (Short Message or “Text” Service) is also available as an alternative transmission method if there are gaps or breaks in the GPRS service.
GenTrak is a complete system comprising of highly compact and rugged telematic terminals and a highly sophisticated software monitoring and control system.

The terminals report their position together with the power performance of the generator, fuel level, oil level and oil quality.
Access to this information is available from any Internet equipped PC. The system also incorporates alarms based on unit position (via a unique “Ringfence” system), fuel level and oil quality. These can be re-laid to engineers by e-mail or SMS.
